6th Annual Big Bass Challenge - Results

June 24th, 2006

 
The 6th Annual Big Bass Challenge had 54 boats entered in the contest.  Anglers endured a morning thunderstorm with heavy rain at times, as well as gusty winds that eventually blew from every direction.  The storms finally drifted away, and was followed by clear blue skies with lots of sunshine and again plenty of wind.  Despite the weather, anglers were rather successful in bringing fish into the boat. Teams reported catching several keeper bass.

 

In the end, the big bass of the day was once again brought into the scales during the 11:00 hour.  Klint Von Feldt and Jamie Summers hauled in the healthy fish weighing 5.77 lb to take home top place honors.  Results are reported below.

 

                               

 

The club also raffled away a flat screen TV from Horizon of Hays, won by Darrel Von Feldt, a Lil' Tex Traeger grill from Crawford Supply won by Christine Lang, a Walmart gift card won by Clint Axford, and a Dillons gift card won by Scott Davis.

 

Congratulations to all those that brought home a prize, and thank you to everyone who participated for making this another great event!  Also, a big thank you goes out to our sponsors.  Their support is essential to running a top notch and successful tournament.
